چکیده
Abstract Background Intertrochanteric fractures are of elderly population and known for morbidity mortality. Early stabilization with minimal surgical trauma is important early mobilization to prevent recumbence-related complications. Methods This prospective study was conducted on 50 stable intertrochanteric that were managed by fixation a small two-hole dynamic hip screw –(DHS) side plate using minimally invasive technique. The time, intraoperative blood loss, length the skin incision, duration hospital stay, time full weight bearing fracture union, complications recorded. Results mean age patients 60.2 years 64% belonging male sex. operative average incision 35.6 minutes, 68.4 mL, 3.7 cm, respectively. Time bone healing ranged from 10 16 weeks (mean 13 weeks). Two had backout but did not interfere failure fixation. Conclusion Stabilization DHS approach viable option negligible complication rate related plate.

Clinical Results of Percutaneous Fixation of Pelvic and Acetabular Fractures: A Minimally Invasive Internal Fixation Technique
Background: The pelvic ring fractures (PRF) and acetabular fractures (AF) are among the major orthopedic injuriesassociated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Open surgical stabilization is the standard treatment for themajority of these complications. Percutaneous minimally invasive surgical stabilization of the fractures has become anaccepted treatment method for th...

OBJECTIVE To compare minimally invasive dynamic hip screw (MIDHS) fixation with conventional dynamic hip screw (CDHS) fixation for treatment of intertrochanteric femoral fracture. METHODS Of the 66 participants in this double-blind study, 35 were randomised to MIDHS and 31 to CDHS fixation. Main outcome measurements were wound size, haemoglobin decrease, blood transfusion rate, pain score, an...
متن کاملResults of Intertrochanteric Fractures Fixed with Dynamic Hip Screw Fixation
Numerous internal fixation devices have been used to stabilize intertrochanteric fracturesWe have analyzed the results of the intertrochanteric fractures treated with dynamic hip screw fixation. 33 patients (13 males, 20 females) were included. Range of age was 50-90 years, right side involved in 21 cases whereas left side in 12 cases and classified according to Boyd and griffin classification ...

Twenty-six patients with failed dynamic hip screw fixation of intertrochanteric fractures were included in this study. The mean age of the patients was 61 years (range, 38-84 years). Average limb shortening was 2.4 cm; 18 patients were treated with revision internal fixation and eight patients with prosthetic replacement. The decision depended on the physiological age of the patient, quality of...
